He hails from a small town of Butterworth in Eastern Cape. He grew up in Msobomvu township, studied and matriculate with university exemption in 1994 at Msobomvu High school in Butterworth, E.C.

Academic history

In 1995, he enrolled and successfully completed both Baccalaureus Juris (B.Juris) and Baccalaureus Legum (L.L.B.) in 1999 with University of Transkei (currently known as Walter Sisulu University).
